What was it really like… before you know.
—Jig3125
Dinosaur—we were huge before they gave us a name.
Before museums, before diagrams, before the word itself got polished into something safe.
It was just weight and weather.
Footsteps that made the ground remember.
A shadow crossing the sun and nobody calling it history yet.
That’s what it was like…
Before you learn how to explain yourself.
Before you shrink the feeling into a sentence.
Before you turn the moment into a lesson you can repeat.
Once you knew, you start arranging the bones.
You picked what to keep. You labeled what you couldn’t.
You made the wild parts fit the display.
The real thing—
the living thing—
was loud, awkward, hungry, beautiful, stomping, breathing.
We didn’t care if we was understood.
In a world while it’s still moving.
What was it really like?
Like a dinosaur…
Millions of years later and people are still deciding what you were like.
