We Guess

Frowns have a funny way of smiling… when we look down.

A frown seems pretty straightforward.

Corners down.

Face officially unavailable for nonsense.

At least, that’s how it looks.

But appearances can be funny.

A frown isn’t the end of a good day.

It’s the beginning of figuring one out.

We assume we know what we’re looking at.

A bad moment.

A disappointment.

A setback.

Something didn’t work.

Something didn’t happen.

Frown.

Naturally…

Yet life has a strange habit of hiding little smiles inside unpleasant moments.

The thing that disappoints us today becomes the thing we’re grateful for tomorrow.

That’s the strange part about being human.

We rarely know the whole story while we’re living the current sentence.

We guess.

Then time adds a few more words.

Suddenly the meaning changes.

The frown was smiling.

We simply weren’t close enough to see the joke.

A down moment can still have an upward direction.

Look down…

See the smile.
