Love has a strange reputation.
Funny…
For something so common, it can be surprisingly elusive when asked to explain itself.
Ask someone how they know they’re hungry.
Easy.
Ask someone how they know they’re tired.
No problem.
Ask someone to explain love.
Watch the pause…
Suddenly the words become less cooperative.
People point to memories.
Moments.
Gestures.
Shared laughter.
Quiet understanding.
They circle the feeling from every direction.
Yet the feeling itself stays just beyond language.
That’s because love isn’t something we encounter with a measuring tape.
You can’t weigh it.
You can’t calculate it.
You can’t pour it into a container and compare results.
You feel it.
That’s the evidence.
Simple.
Complicated.
Both at once.
The thing is that love rarely arrives as a grand speech.
More often it appears in ordinary places.
Love is easily felt.
Sometimes hard to explain…
People write songs, poems, and books about love. Yet the feeling itself stays just beyond language.
The heart seems perfectly comfortable with that arrangement.
