There’s more to it …But i forget thee rest sometimes.

“You have to see this!”
Someone else insists, “No, the real spot is over there.”
Before you know it, you’ve walked ten miles, taken two hundred pictures, and somehow missed the thing everyone came to see.
Amazing…
That’s the funny part about moving through the city. You can be surrounded by history, beauty, pain, and miracles all in one block—and still only remember the loudest piece.
Half the time, people spend more time looking at their phones than the view.
They photograph the monument.
Then stare at the photo instead of the monument.
Makes sense…
What about the small things that don’t make postcards. The old man sweeping the same storefront like it’s sacred. The kid balancing a basketball and a dream. The mural that’s half-faded but still speaking. The train rattling like it’s keeping time for everybody’s life.
Maybe it’s about collecting stories.
Like getting lost and pretending you meant to go that way.
Or discovering a little café no one recommended.
Or laughing because you forgot why you stopped in the first place.
There’s more to it…
What was I saying again?
Oh well.
Must’ve been something worth seeing.
