The Parent(s) of Leonids in their Tempel–Tuttle…happily passing it around.
—Jig3125
Every family has something they pass down.
Some get the eyes.
Some get the attitude.
Some get the good stuff.
The Leonids?
They got Tempel–Tuttle.
Up in it happily…
Like an comet passing it around,
leaving a little something behind—
chuffing.
Pass it…
Chuff…
That’s the funny part…
Light it up, really:
a family tradition with a really long orbit.
And everybody gets to watch them
Happily passing it around.
There goes another one.
A little piece of the family business
burning across the sky…
Moving along. Like a comet.
They’re chuffed.
There goes another one.
Happily They wait for Earth.
Chuff.. Chuff.
Passing it around.
