Those fucking habits… We all got them.
—Jig3125
Breaking day all night is what it feels like when you’re tired but still moving. When the sun comes up and you haven’t really rested—just switched scenes. When you tell yourself you’re grinding, but deep down you know you’re avoiding something. Avoiding silence. Avoiding feelings. Avoiding the mirror.
Because habits are loyal. They show up on time.
Those fucking habits… we all got them.
Some people numb out. Some people lash out. Some people scroll until their thumb hurts. Some people chase attention like it’s oxygen. Some people stay busy so they don’t have to be honest. Different flavors, same hunger.
And I’m not writing this like I’m above it. I’m writing it because I’ve been there—breaking day all night, acting like I’m fine, acting like I’m in control, acting like the habit is just a “phase.” Meanwhile it’s quietly building a home in my routine.
But habits can be broken. Not by motivation—motivation is moody. Broken by replacement. By small decisions that don’t look heroic. By choosing the boring good thing over the exciting bad thing. By admitting, “yo, this is costing me.”
Sometimes it’s changing the environment. Changing the people. Changing the hour you’re alone. Sometimes it’s putting distance between you and the trigger. Sometimes it’s asking for help without making it a speech.
Those fucking habits… we all got them.
But we don’t have to keep them.
